B appears in episode 2. He corresponds to the first parasite that Shinichi Izumi encounters which has taken over a human host in the original work. However, this designation is not used in the episode itself, and the origin of the name is unknown. Although his appearance has been greatly altered, his role and lines remain the same as in the original.
