Kōichi Shindo

"Baron Candy." Born April 2, 173 centimeters tall. A student at the famous Yasaka High School (nicknamed: Patch High) in the region. He was classmates with Miyamura and Tanihara during middle school. Due to smoking and other reasons, he had to repeat a year (in the TV anime version, it was due to insufficient attendance days), so he is currently in a different grade, but he is academically excellent. Since middle school, when he first spoke to Miyamura, who had been ignored by others, he started to care about him and considers himself a best friend, although Miyamura treats him coldly.

In the story, he soon reports to Miyamura about his relationship with Ichijo, but Ichijo's parents do not think well of him due to his repeating a year. He scolds Miyamura, who is still hesitant even after confessing to Hori, and pushes him forward. He has a very active personality and often comes to Miyamura's house early in the morning. He dislikes cheese, but Miyamura and Ichijo challenge him to overcome this, and he is almost made to eat things like cheesecake. He likes Tetris. His hair is orange. Ranked 9th in popularity.
