Arima is the former boyfriend of Youko Tsubaki. He is a graduate of Kazamidai High School. He dated Youko until their high school graduation. After graduating, he went on to attend a university in the Kansai region. For about the first six months after his move, he and Youko remained in contact, but they gradually grew distant, and eventually they stopped communicating altogether.
