Character Setting

Edit

G4 is a disaster-level Demon robotic monster created by the mysterious “Organization,” known for its overwhelming firepower and its fierce battle against Genos.

G4 is a combat robot designed specifically to hunt and eliminate powerful targets.

It was deployed by the Organization as a weapon to test and analyze high-level heroes.

In the story, G4 first appears searching for King, a top-ranked hero feared as the “strongest man on Earth.”

This encounter leads indirectly to G4’s intense fight with the cyborg hero Genos.

G4 locates King in a city and openly challenges him to a fight.

King, not wanting to reveal his lack of actual combat ability, uses the excuse of needing to go to the bathroom and slips away from the battlefield.

Left without its intended target, G4 instead turns its attention to Genos, who happens to be present.

Genos steps in to protect civilians and confronts the robot in King’s place.

During their battle, G4 pushes Genos to his limits with superior ranged and explosive power.

Despite being driven into a corner, Genos manages to turn the tables through sheer determination and tactical adaptation, eventually destroying G4.

After G4’s defeat, its remaining parts are recovered.

These scrap components are then reused as upgrade material for Genos’s next round of mechanical enhancements, meaning the robot indirectly contributes to Genos’s power-up.

G4 is classified as a disaster-level Demon threat, marking it as a serious danger to cities and heroes.

Its design focuses on overwhelming offensive capability rather than subtlety or defense.

It boasts extremely high firepower, capable of bombarding opponents and terrain with destructive energy attacks.

In close and mid-range combat, G4’s sustained output and pressure are enough to push Genos to the brink despite Genos’s own formidable arsenal.

In the redraw (Murata) version, G4 is revealed to contain a smaller, internal robot unit.

This inner unit allows G4 to continue combat operations even after severe external damage, giving it an extra layer of endurance and surprise.

The small internal robot can project multiple laser beams from its head.

Despite its compact size, its physical strength is portrayed as comparable to that of Genos, making it dangerous in both ranged and close combat.

The laser emitters on the internal unit are equipped with wipers to keep the lenses clear for accurate firing.

This quirky detail highlights the Organization’s meticulous, almost overengineered approach to weapon design.

G4’s outer body is heavily armored and built for direct confrontation with high-ranking heroes.

Its silhouette and movement emphasize a functional, weaponized design rather than a humanoid personality.

The presence of the smaller interior robot suggests a modular, layered structure.

Even if the primary shell is destroyed, the core unit can continue fighting or potentially escape.

The Organization uses G4 as both a weapon and a data-collection platform.

Its battle against Genos and attempted confrontation with King provide valuable combat data to refine future robotic monsters.

King

G4 targets King after tracking him down, treating him as a high-value opponent to defeat.

However, King avoids combat entirely, leaving G4 without its intended test subject.

Genos

Genos becomes G4’s actual opponent, stepping in as a defender of the city.

Their fight is intense, showcasing Genos’s desperation and G4’s overwhelming specs.

Although G4 loses, its technology lives on through the parts salvaged for Genos’s upgrades.

In a way, G4’s defeat directly contributes to making Genos even stronger for future battles.

G4’s classification as a disaster-level Demon places it above ordinary monsters and robots, demanding serious hero intervention.

Its internal mini-robot and lens wipers give it a distinct and memorable mechanical personality.

The fact that King escapes the fight by claiming he needs to use the bathroom adds a comedic twist to an otherwise dangerous encounter.

This contrast between G4’s deadly seriousness and King’s “escape tactic” is part of what makes the scene memorable.
