He transformed into a giant ape and attacked Kenpachi, but was slain by being sliced in half from the head down.

Ability "The Roar."

A power of the "R" letter. It allows him to transform into a giant ape and emit a roar powerful enough to blow away enemies.

In the anime, he becomes gigantic and then roars loudly; the roaring causes enemies who hear it to bleed from their heads or eardrums, leading to their death. It is portrayed as quite a strong ability.
