Kanji Takechi

The character who first appears in Episode 7 is a professional mahjong player known for his trademark glasses. He suffers three consecutive losses against Dōjima and is subjected to a humiliating penalty. In order to redeem his honor, in the later "Massacre Arc," he gathers his disciples—other professional mahjong players—with the aim of expelling Dōjima from the official mahjong world, and sets a plan in motion to challenge him.
