Porta

Porta is a young girl, about 12 years old and around 130 centimeters tall. She usually carries a shoulder bag, which is her signature item. She always has a bright and energetic look, looking very much like a real elementary school student.

Porta is always cheerful, speaking with lots of energy and excitement. She uses exclamation marks in almost every sentence! She is bright and outgoing, making friends easily. Though young, Porta is reliable and wants to help others. She sometimes gets sad when talking about her mother, showing her sensitive side.

Porta appears from the very first volume as a traveling merchant searching for friends to journey with. She joins Masato Oosuki and his group after a unique "interview" process. Though she is supposed to stay with her mother, because her mother is busy, Porta is allowed to travel with the group.

Porta does not fight in battles, but she supports her team in other ways. Her biggest strength is her skill in item creation, especially making clothes and useful items. She owns a mascot named Peeta, which can grow large and be used for attacks if needed. Porta often changes the fight by handing out helpful items. For example, she used a silence item that really helped during the "Night Empress" fight.

Porta is treated like a little sister by the group, especially by Masato Oosuki. She has a close and special bond with him. The entire party cares for her and trusts her support skills. Her relationship with her mother is complicated. Porta loves her mother, even though her mother is strict and distant.

Joining the Group

Porta was looking for travel companions and found Masato Oosuki and the others who were holding interviews. She passed the interview with the help of paperwork from Masumi Shirase and was accepted as a new member. She was allowed to join specially because her mother, who is usually required to be with her, was too busy.

Support and Item Creation

From the start, Porta works as the team's item creator. She makes clothes, crafts items, and supports everyone by using her helpful items during battles. She does not fight directly, but her creations are key to winning some difficult fights. For example, in the battle against the "Night Empress," Porta used an item that kept the team from being silenced, helping them win.

Problems with Her Mother

In volume 8, it is discovered that Porta's mother is actually "Medhimama," the producer of the game "MMMMMORPG (temporary name)." Porta had a title called "Motherless Porta" given to her, showing her emotional struggle with her mother. Even though Medhimama treated her coldly, Porta still cared about her deeply. When it was found out that Medhimama had cheated, Porta thought Masato Oosuki and the others were trying to defeat her mother and left the group. But later she found out the truth and returned to her friends.

Rebuilding Their Bond

After the final battle, Mamako Oosuki helped Porta and her mother talk things out. With Mamako's help, Porta was able to mend her relationship with her mother, and they started fresh together as a family.

Differences in the Anime

In the anime version, there is no mention of Porta traveling alone without her mother.

Porta always speaks with a lot of excitement, using "!" in nearly every sentence. She is a strong supporter of everyone in the group, even without fighting. She is very skilled at crafting and item making, which is rare for someone her age.
