Ichika Takatsuki is a high school girl who stands out for her long red hair and beautiful figure. She comes to Kaito Kirishima’s school as a transfer student from a distant place. While she appears calm and smart, Ichika doesn’t know much about life in Japan and often acts a little strange. She uses special glasses that translate for her. After some trouble, she ends up living with Kaito and slowly starts noticing her true feelings for him. Behind her ordinary appearance, Ichika is actually an alien searching for a memorable place on Earth, and she fears being caught by secret agents. Sometimes, she's very strict, especially when helping others study. She gets nervous or jealous when she sees Kaito with other girls. Ichika is the second of three sisters. Though she looks like a regular high school girl, she is actually an alien from another planet. She comes to Earth to explore its nature and find a certain scenery that lingers in her mind.

Ichika’s real identity as an alien is slowly revealed. She had come to Earth after a long and difficult space journey, and she accidentally injures Kaito during her crash landing.
Feelings Bloom
Encouraged by Nanami and others, Ichika becomes aware of her growing love for Kaito. She gets jealous and flustered when Kaito is with other girls, but after some pushing, she accepts her feelings.
The Finale
In the last episode, Ichika returns to her home planet for a while but comes back again after graduation. The film "Waiting in the Summer" continues to be shown, and Ichika appears in traditional clothing from Nanami's Bolivian trip. In the manga, her story ends with her and Kaito together at the school festival.
Ichika is always seen with her small pet, Rinon. She is very careful about not exposing her true, alien nature all the while participating in the friends' film project as the main heroine who is also an alien visiting Earth.
