Vritra is the former guardian serpent of Kunlun, who now exists as a sentient belt after its body was destroyed, possessing its own flayed skin to survive.
Vritra was once a great serpent and the revered guardian deity of the village of Kunlun.
Its life took a dramatic turn after a betrayal, leading it to become a magical, possessed belt.
The Great Escape
Vritra's troubles began when the village chief, Alka, skinned it with Excalibur while it was sleeping.
Absolutely furious that Alka planned to turn its beautiful hide into an apron, Vritra ran away from home.
A Miraculous Survival
It later reunited with Alka in a dungeon, but an enemy seeking to weaken the chief annihilated Vritra's body.
Fortunately, its skin had been brought into the dungeon by Selen Hemein, who was wearing it as a belt. Vritra escaped certain doom by possessing the belt.
Journey of the Cursed Belt
The belt itself has a wild history. Alka tried to make that apron but accidentally mixed the skin with pasta and chopped it up.
After unknowingly boiling the mixture, the skin became cursed, so Alka attached a buckle and sold it as a belt. The belt then found its way to Selen after changing hands.
Selen Hemein
Vritra refers to Selen, the current owner of the belt, as "My Master."
However, it is thoroughly put off by her constant and obsessive fawning over Lloyd Belladonna.
