In her first year, she didn’t know much and had to rely on her seniors, especially Kaori Nakaseko, and her classmates to help her learn.
When many students left the club because of conflicts, Tomoe, not knowing what was going on, stayed out of it and ended up just watching everything happen.

Becoming a Mentor
When a new school year started, Tomoe and Kumiko Oumae became mentors for new band members.
She carefully taught beginners the basics and kept notes about their progress.
Her friendly attitude helped new students trust her and made her seen as a “reliable big sister” in the band.
Facing Trouble with Her Trumpet
Tomoe started feeling pain in her left jaw and was diagnosed with temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ).
She spoke with the band director, Noboru Taki, and decided to step down from playing the trumpet.

Despite the surprise, she cheered everyone up and promised to support them as manager.
