A giant who serves under Kiyohara Shinano-no-kami, whose family has traditionally guarded the provincial governor's territory. Inwardly, he looks down on Kiyohara and aims to rise to power in Shinano by leveraging the governor's authority and ambition. Though he is harshly judged as a "loud, violent villain" in terms of personality, he possesses martial skills and strong leadership that make him a key figure in the governor's army. He leads the "Shinen Oni Corps" of the Southern and Northern Courts' tag game, opposing the Hoshina faction. However, he is defeated by Kojirō, who had allied with the Hoshina faction. With Yonemaru's death, the governor's army was forced into a weakened state.
