Chapter 8: "Scandal Arc" features a film director known by the nickname "ShimaKan." He is currently riding high, having won a film award. Despite being married, he is known as a playboy and has an agreement with his wife not to interfere with each other's affairs. This allows him to become intimate with his colleagues, sometimes having sexual relations with cast members as a means to get closer in a professional setting. He and Kana Arima share similar values regarding acting, and while they can talk freely about work, they maintain personal boundaries. In Chapter 8, ShimaKan offers Kana a role in exchange for sexual favors, but Kana, unable to forget about Aqua, refuses. However, ShimaKan becomes interested in Kana, who continues to complain about Aqua, and promises her a job offer. A paparazzi then captures Kana entering and exiting ShimaKan's apartment, creating a potential scandal. In Chapter 9, ShimaKan introduces Kana to the role of a yandere woman who "deliciously cooks and eats the hair of the man she loves," and even offers her another role, hinting there are more opportunities to come.
