As an FBI special agent, he is dispatched to Japan along with Hive to assist in the investigation of a series of incidents caused by Sphinx. He admonishes Hive to maintain decorum, as Hive tends to go overboard. He dismisses Hive due to unilateral actions, repeated violations of regulations, and worsening health conditions, but is subsequently shot by Hive.
