During the Marleyan army's full-scale attack on Paradis Island, he rescues Falco along with Gabi. Upon learning that Falco has ingested Zeke's spinal fluid, he attempts to reach Zeke to prevent the "scream," but fails and is caught in the blast of Falco's transformation into a Titan, resulting in his death. Until the end, he thought of his brother and embraced Falco, who was transforming into a Titan, knowing he would die.
