Captain of the 1st Division. A young member hailed as Japan's strongest anti-kaiju force. He usually sleeps in the captain's room, but he has a typical otaku disposition, with his room cluttered with trash, hobby games, and plastic models, leading a lazy lifestyle and personality. He often falls into financial trouble due to excessive online shopping and begs his subordinates (mainly Kikoru) for money, has a petty side where he searches for his own achievements on social media and envies when they are credited to Mina, showing many flaws in terms of character. However, his abilities as a captain are genuine, and his overwhelming skill covers all his shortcomings. During missions, he shows a cold side like other captains, demanding only results and skill from his subordinates. In combat, he wields a bayonet-like specialized weapon called "GS-3305." Even with just his close combat abilities, he is one of the strongest among all members, rivaling Hoshina. Additionally, he has transplanted the "Rt (Retina)-0001," Japan's oldest identification kaiju weapon made from the retina of Kaiju No. 1, into his eyes, allowing him to visualize signals emitted from the brain of living beings and predict their actions, giving him a pseudo-precognitive ability. He further honed this power, enabling him to read various electronic, physical, and environmental information beyond just electrical signals, achieving almost complete future prediction during combat. He can also read the command systems and coordination among kaiju through electronic signal reading.
