A rare conscientious character among the Celestial Dragons, he held the belief that "Celestial Dragons are also human" and was viewed as a heretic by his peers. 33 years ago, he renounced his Celestial Dragon status and moved with his family from Mariejois to a non-World Government affiliated country in the North Blue. Shortly after their relocation, their true identities were discovered by the local residents, forcing his family to flee. He pleaded to at least let his wife and children return to Mariejois, but was refused, leading to a life on the run. During this time, he lost his wife and continued to be persecuted along with his sons, enduring what could be described as hellish torture from the general populace who hated the Celestial Dragons. Two years after moving to the surface, he was shot dead by Doflamingo. Acknowledging that his reckless actions had brought misery to his family, he offered no resistance at his death and apologized to his sons for being their father.
