Van of Flamberge
梵·渥夫·弗兰伯格 ヴァン・オブ・フランベルク
The eighth prince of the Kingdom of Flamberge and a hero. A devoted follower of the god Demis, he believes that life is determined by divine protection and considers people who die from monster attacks as having merely fulfilled their destiny. He judges people's good or evil based on the type of divine protection they have, and those deemed to have "evil blessings" are interpreted as existing only to be slain without mercy. He believes that "a hero should only look forward and proceed," often abandoning wounded allies and showing no sense of cooperation. However, he is tolerant towards children who have not yet received any blessings. His fighting style overly relies on the power of his blessings. He shows his inexperience by failing to anticipate isolated battle tactics and is stopped by Red wielding a bronze sword against a holy sword. He views the people of Zoltan as "corrupted citizens who do not follow the mission of their blessings" and tries to brainwash them using a fairy's shield that manipulates enemies. However, his plan is thwarted by Red and others, and he is critically wounded by a punch from Ruti. Although he is treated immediately and survives, from then on, he obsesses over killing Ruti in his quest to become a true hero.
