He has a serious and composed personality, matching his appearance. Typically the sensible one who points out the absurdities in the story, he sometimes finds himself agreeing with Akemi, who is closer to his age, especially when Tatsu-nii is around, due to the generational gap. Despite his quiet demeanor, he has a surprisingly strong will, with particular preferences for playing games and how to eat, and he firmly rejects any intrusion into his private life, occasionally erupting into harsh criticisms that border on personal attacks. He has astonished those around him by casually mentioning that his first experience was in a car.
