Her mother, the daughter of the leader, had a falling out with him when she got married and was disowned. Later, she was confined underground by the Eight Precepts of Death by Overhaul, but escaped and met Izuku on his first day of internship patrol. At this time, Overhaul misled others by calling her his daughter, leading the heroes to mistakenly believe she was his daughter. She was rescued by Izuku and others towards the end of the raid on the Eight Precepts of Death, and after the U.A. School Festival, her horns, the outlets of her "Quirk," began to grow again, and she was taken into U.A. High School where Aizawa, who can erase "Quirks," is present. She refers to Izuku and Mirio by their hero names. "Quirk": Rewind Rewinds a person's time. A spontaneous mutation type of "Quirk" that does not resemble any ability from either parent's lineage. Eri cannot activate or stop her "Quirk" at will; it remains active as long as she is in contact with the target. Therefore, Overhaul was forcibly stopping it with his own "Quirk."
