The protagonist, Hitori Gotōh, was a girl with no particular talents, but she became fascinated with bands after watching a band member's interview on a TV program in her first year of middle school. She borrowed a guitar from her father and immersed herself in playing, eventually becoming a guitarist known as "Guitar Hero" on a video sharing site. However, due to her severe shyness and social awkwardness, she longed to participate in band activities and cultural festival live performances, but graduated from middle school without being able to make even friends, let alone music partners.
