The younger brother of Takatoki and the uncle of Tokiyuki. He was once an influential figure in the Kamakura shogunate. During the fall of Kamakura, he entrusted Tokiyuki to Yorishige and helped him escape. Afterwards, he also fled Kamakura by mingling with Nitta's soldiers. He incited several rebellions across the Tohoku region but was repeatedly defeated. Eventually, he fled to Suwa where he reunited with Tokiyuki. He has a peculiar trait where his true intentions inexplicably appear as text on his forehead. Although he is a worldly man who struggles with keeping secrets and clings to power and life, his straightforward and honest nature as a warrior earns him the trust of Tokiyuki.
