Rei's father and Kiriko's husband. He is an assistant inspector in the Public Security Division of the Prefectural Police, stationed at the Tokonushi East Police Station. According to Rei, he is "a person who is unfazed by anything." He is undefeated in bayonet competitions at the prefectural police tournaments and is also skilled in marksmanship. His investigation into the source of secret funds for Congressman Shido Ichiro led to Rei being held back a year, causing both him and his daughter to harbor intense hatred towards Shido. During the outbreak of "them," his call with Rei was abruptly cut off, leaving him unable to confirm her safety. Subsequently, he is guarding evacuees at Shintoko Third Elementary School, awaiting rescue by the Self-Defense Forces.
