A subordinate of Aura, the executioner. Visits the domain of Count Granat as an envoy for peace with humans. Although polite in speech, he secretly works to disable the city's protective barriers to allow Aura's forces to enter. When Frieren and his group visit the city, Draht prematurely attacks the guards, causing casualties, and is confronted by the count, revealing his true nature and capturing him. Seeing Fern's magic when he comes to rescue the count, he remembers Frieren's face, which he had forgotten. He then uses "blood manipulation magic" to fight Fern. He harbors doubts about the small scale of magical power he feels from Fern compared to the scale of Fern's rapid-fire magic techniques, but distracted by Linie's defeat, he is hit directly by a magic spell that kills demons, suffering a fatal wound. Eventually, he realizes that Fern's tactics, which made him underestimate the scale of magical power and let his guard down, were the same tactics Frieren had used in the past, and while calling Fern and his group cowards, he is slain.
