Arrancar No.13. One of the subordinates of the 6th Espada, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez. A giant man with a striking hairstyle, featuring a half-shaved head on the left and long hair on the right (red in the anime), wearing a mask remnant like an eye mask over his nose. Despite his fierce appearance, he calmly analyzes the enemy's power, sincerely praises their strength, and expresses a reluctance to crush them completely, showing a compassionate side. He invaded the human world with Grimmjow and fought against Ikkaku Madarame. He cornered Ikkaku by releasing his Zanpakuto, but Ikkaku activated his Bankai, Ryumon Hozukimaru, and they exchanged their strongest blows, resulting in half of his torso being gouged out. In his final moments, he remarked that he was glad to have learned Ikkaku's name before dying. Before becoming an Arrancar, he evolved to the Adjuchas level along with Shawlong and others, taking a form close to his released state, but realized he couldn't evolve further and gave up. Based on Sosuke Aizen's comments, it was thought he regressed to the Gillian level before becoming an Arrancar, but later Uryuu Ishida mentioned a mixed unit of Gillian and Adjuchas (was the setting changed midway?), suggesting he might have become an Arrancar while still an Adjuchas without regressing.
