Gender:Male
A grand councilor who had long-standing ties with the Hōjō clan, he wielded considerable influence as a key intermediary between Kyoto and Kamakura during the shogunate's reign. Discontent with the Kenmu government after his path to advancement was cut off by the fall of the Hōjō clan, he plotted with Hōjō Takaie to assassinate Emperor Go-Daigo. However, the plan was foiled by his brother's betrayal, leading to his capture and execution. His domains were confiscated, and the Golden Pavilion was later built on his confiscated land by the Ashikaga clan.
