YATAGARASU: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master

乌鸦不择主 烏は主を選ばない

The story revolves around the Yatagarasu, a mythical crow that can transform into human form. They live in a secluded world in the mountains called Yamauji, created away from the human realm, where they lead lives similar to humans. This world is reminiscent of the Heian period, ruled by a court centered around King Kinu, the leader of the Yatagarasu. The Yatagarasu have built temples and shrines all around, worshiping the god Yamagami, believed to have opened Yamauji.
