Kakukaini

觉海尼 覚海尼（かくかいに）

Takatoki's mother and Tokiyuki's grandmother. After the fall of the Kamakura shogunate, she became a nun and secluded herself in Enjoji Temple in Izu. After the Nakasendai Rebellion, she sheltered Tokiyuki, who had fled to Izu. While worrying about Tokiyuki, she also acted as a mediator for his return to the Southern Court. Though now quiet, during the Kamakura shogunate era, she was a formidable woman of such presence that she overshadowed even Takatoki and Yasuie.
