The protagonist of this work is a male high school student who is a severe crappy game maniac, having not played any games other than crappy games for several years. He owns a shelf for storing crappy games, where he ranks them in his own way and stores them in different rows. He is a tension monster whose performance fluctuates with his mood; when his tension is high, he exhibits extraordinary concentration and reaction speed, resilience to unreasonable situations honed by numerous crappy games, and polished player skills, achieving incredible performances akin to a human tool-assisted speedrun. His experience playing various genres of crappy games has given him a tolerant spirit for most things, and he is occasionally called a "fiend" by those around him for his ruthless thinking. However, as a gamer, he also possesses a certain level of good sense and prefers to tackle high-difficulty stages with orthodox strategies. He prides himself on a style that prioritizes better weapons over armor. He unifies the character names in the games he plays as "Sunraku" (extracting the characters for "sun" and "pleasure" from his real name and replacing the sun character with SUN). Early in the game, he encounters Lycaon in a night raid and performs well, achieving the flag for "Lycaon's Curse." This triggers the unique scenario "Invitation from the Land of Rabbits," and he is formally invited to the country of Vorpal Bunnies, "Rabbits." Subsequently, he becomes a mysterious figure who bases himself in Rabbits, where most other players can hardly enter, and accomplishes various feats all over the game world, becoming a celebrity known by other players as "Tsuchinoko," treated as a cryptid.
