The current king of the Kingdom of Midgar. According to his daughters, Iris and Alexia, he is an "avoid trouble" type. Despite reports of collusion suspicions between the Diabolos Cult and the Holy Church, and distrust in Doemu Ketsuhat, he dismisses them as lacking certainty and does not take them seriously, leading to a low appraisal from his daughters as a king. He made an early appearance in the TV anime version. He also appears in the original work in Volume 6 of the book series. He is aware that he does not have enough military power to confront the cult or the church, and has remained a bystander, but with the activities of Shadow Garden, he tries to assess the situation. Knowing that Iris is being swayed by the cult, he hopes that Alexia will side with Shadow Garden, ensuring the royal bloodline survives regardless of which organization wins.
