Having consumed wine containing Zeke's spinal fluid, he was unable to act and was captured by the Yeagerists. During the Marleyan army's surprise attack, he went to the front lines to engage with the Marleyan forces but was transformed into a Titan by Zeke's "scream." He attempted to devour Surma but was killed by Keith.
