The female editor in charge of this work. She is a complete amateur when it comes to agriculture and is often bewildered or makes retorts to Arakawa's biased common sense and extraordinary stories. However, as the series progresses, she also acquires knowledge related to agriculture and is no longer easily fooled by Arakawa's lies. Her catchphrase was "The common sense of farmers is the nonsense of society," but in the 86th chapter of volume 8, she mentions that her family home is near a racetrack, and in the 93rd chapter of volume 8, she makes an outrageous statement that it's strange not to throw away losing tickets at the "Banei Racetrack." A similar editor character appears in an essay manga by former assistant Jun Tokou.
