Ketil's eldest son. A former retainer of Canute, he is a typical Viking with a large build, strong arms, and a love for battle. Despite quickly realizing Canute's schemes, he deliberately provoked Olmar to create an excuse for combat. As a warrior, he is competent, having slaughtered several warriors who insulted Olmar and easily dispatched the soldiers who came to capture them. His former superior, Wolf, described him as a "good subordinate," and during the invasion of Ketil's farm, he boldly attacked Canute from the sea alone, earning Canute's appreciation for his audacity. He also devised a plan to gather warriors at the farm, and Snake praised him as "surprisingly skilled in battle." He was waiting for another opportunity to launch a surprise attack, but was left stunned when he arrived at the empty camp after Canute and his forces had withdrawn, and dissatisfied with the outcome, he disappeared after the war.
