上原椿 上原つばき（うえはら つばき）

Anzu's mother and Hotaru's childhood friend. She is a picture book author. As a single mother, she raises Anzu. However, she's not good at cooking and can only make rice balls. As a child, she liked Hotaru but couldn’t express her feelings directly, so she teased and played pranks on him (Hotaru was unaware and just confused). She apparently still admires Hotaru.
