五加木 うこぎ / チュン太郎（ちゅんたろう）

Kasugai Suzume, a male sparrow, is always with Zenitsu. His real name originates from his fondness for ukogi rice, as revealed in the preview of episode 15. He refers to himself as "I" (in sparrow language). Although he understands human speech, he cannot vocalize it, so naturally, he cannot convey messages (hence, his capabilities are limited to guiding on-site and carrying letters). However, he can communicate through intentions with Tanjirou, who can sense emotions just by scent. Compared to the mechanical Kasugai Crow, he is much more emotional and often uplifts Zenitsu while also scolding him. His family was killed by demons, and motivated by a desire to be useful, he volunteered to be a messenger. He is beloved by other crows.
