Enshou

Enshou has long orange hair and sharp eyes. He often wears a military-style uniform that shows his position as a commander.

Enshou is extremely aggressive and single-minded in battle. He is willing to betray or sacrifice anyone to achieve his aims. There is a deep sadness inside him, as he is unable to escape the cycle of violence and war. He only knows how to solve problems through fighting. Even when he gains what he wants, he is never satisfied and keeps creating new reasons to fight.

Enshou was a prince from the warlike planet Burei and a founding member of the Altana Liberation Army. He became known as the "Prince of Gunpowder." He lost his wife and homeland due to the violent actions of the Tendoushuu. This loss turned his grief into hate, directing his actions towards destroying Earth.

Secretly, Enshou was involved in dark events: he allowed his own brother to die in battle so he could steal his wife for himself. Despite gaining his love, he could never find peace or happiness, and was driven to more war.

Enshou is a master fighter who uses two beam saber weapons that can block bullets and shoot energy blasts. He is powerful enough to badly injure both Mutsu and Elizabeth, two very strong characters, and can almost hold his ground against three skilled fighters: Sakamoto, Katsura, and Takasugi.

• Older brother: Enshou allowed his brother to be killed in battle so he could take his brother’s wife.
• Wife: He married his brother’s wife after his brother’s death, but could never make her happy due to his guilt.
• Allies: He sometimes works with others, like Shijaku, but does not hesitate to betray or sacrifice them for his goals.
• Enemies: He sees Shijaku and Earth’s defenders as his enemies, but later fights alongside some of them.

Betrayal and Loss

Enshou was a founding member of the Altana Liberation Army. As "Prince of Gunpowder," he fought with skill, using his twin beam sabers. His life changed forever when the Tendoushuu's chaos destroyed his planet and took his wife away. Fuelled by grief and hate, he pushes the Liberation Army to take revenge on Earth.

However, Enshou's hatred also came from a secret—he let his own brother die just to win over his brother's wife. He could not live in peace with her, and kept going to war, unable to escape his guilt.

The March of War

Together with Shijaku and others, Enshou forms the Liberation Army. Even after discovering that the Tendoushuu (really Utsuro) are immortal and defeated, Enshou refuses to let go of his anger. He hides the truth from his army, saying their hatred still has a place.

He becomes angry at the Earth people’s stubborn resistance. He starts using more cruel tactics, like using firepower to destroy Edo Castle, sending more troops and mercenaries, and even sacrificing his own soldiers for his plan to destroy Earth using the planet-buster weapon Kagutsuchi.

Final Confrontation and Downfall

When the plan to destroy Earth fails because Takasugi’s group breaks into his ship, Enshou decides to crash the entire Ark Ship into the planet. Even after being mortally wounded by Sakamoto, he keeps fighting and almost defeats his enemies.

But when Takasugi joins the fight, Enshou loses both arms and is finally defeated by Sakamoto, Katsura, and Takasugi working together. At last, he realizes his mistakes and tries to accept peace, but is unexpectedly shot by a furious subordinate. The same soldiers Enshou had ordered into reckless battles now see his change of heart as betrayal.

The End of Hatred

Badly wounded, Enshou dies without really making up for his past. But his death and the actions of the Earth’s people finally bring the war to an end.

"Don’t be ridiculous... We have fought and sacrificed so many friends, and now you say peace?! Why did our comrades have to die then?!"
