Abel

A friend of Lawrence from his seminary days. He was a pastor at a church in the western town, but saying "I'm tired of dealing with people," he ended up at Lawrence's church (in reality, he just wanted to confirm Lawrence's well-being and escape his job as Hazelita's tutor). Just like Cecilia, he has zero ability to live independently and while helping with work, lives in the church under Lawrence's care. However, his attitude is quite unserious, often slacking off or teasing in his pastoral duties, causing trouble for Lawrence and being treated cavalierly in return.

He knows Lawrence well from their seminary days, making Cecilia often feel jealous since she does not share that past. He watches over them, teasing their relationship.

He can see angels and other such beings, and is one of the few who know about Lawrence's condition. Before Cecilia arrived, he used his amateur knowledge to give Lawrence blessings and protect him from demons.

He has a history of being placed in an orphanage because his ability to see angels was not accepted by those around him, and in the early days of seminary, he had a dark personality that avoided interacting with others. It was Lawrence who persistently talked to him, and eventually, his persistence led to a friendship, gradually changing him into his current teasing personality.
