She is Mira Konohata’s childhood friend and classmate in their first year. Since she helps out with her family's bakery, Suzuya Bakery, she is not a member of the Earth Sciences Club. At the shop, regular customers call her "Moe Moe," though she doesn't particularly like the nickname, so Mira gives her the nickname "Suzu."
She always looks out for Mira Konohata and is wary of boys who approach her, but she enjoys seeing girls being close friends with each other. Although she is not part of the Earth Sciences Club, she often visits to bring bread or help out at the school festival. As a hobby, she gathers information about the girls, which contributes to her knowledge of earth sciences and her reputation in the newspaper club.
She admires Misa Konohata, Mira's older sister, and acts differently in front of her. Usually cheerful, she does not show her true feelings often, especially to Misa, to whom she tends to express her affection in a joking manner.
In her first year, she grew her hair out to imitate Misa Konohata, but in her second year, she changes her image to a short hairstyle. From her second year, she and Mira Konohata are in different classes.
