Alice Zuberg

The heroine of the Alicization arc. A bottom-up type artificial intelligence. Born on April 9th in the story. In the Underworld (UW), she is a childhood friend of Kirito and Eugeo. A beautiful girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in a blue and white apron dress reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland.

She is the daughter of the village chief of Rulid Village and is the top user of sacred arts among the children, making her an honor student. However, she is a bright and energetic girl who often drags her best friend Eugeo into her antics. She is captured by an Integrity Knight and taken to the Cathedral, where after two years of training, her memories are sealed by the Administrator through the synthesis ritual, and a new personality is implanted. About five years later, she becomes the 30th Integrity Knight. Eight years after that, she breaks the seal on her right eye by her own will after reuniting with Eugeo and Kirito, who had violated the Taboo Index, and regains knowledge of her past self.

Although she is the second youngest among the Integrity Knights, she is highly skilled in the use of sacred arts. With guidance from the strongest Integrity Knight, Bercouli, her abilities are formidable, with each strike powerful enough to nullify Kirito's multi-hit sword skills that he relied on.

After defeating the Administrator, she becomes more gentle after reuniting with her sister Selka and starts to develop feelings for Kirito while taking care of him during his mental incapacitation. She openly competes with Asuna when exchanging information about Kirito, recounting her past experiences. After escaping to the real world and after Kirito and Asuna return from the UW, she returns to the UW about 200 years later in internal time. She has not given up on Kirito and continues to openly compete with Asuna, though they acknowledge each other's abilities.

In the real world, she operates under the protection of "RATH" in a robot body resembling her UW appearance, with a Light Cube, to gain rights for artificial intelligence. She also interacts with Leafa and others in ALO. However, for her, ALO is not just a "temporary world" but "one of the worlds," and she finds the concept of "game" difficult to grasp. While she acknowledges the advantages of the Aincrad-style multi-hit sword skills, she continues to use the Norikia-style techniques she is familiar with in both ALO and UR.

In UR, she wears a dark blue dress similar to her UW attire, with golden armor and wields a bastard sword as her weapon.
