Carpaccio

Carpaccio has long blonde hair. She looks more mature and taller than Anchovy. Her design changed a little between the manga and the OVA version, but she is always easily recognized by her kind expression and calm looks.

Carpaccio is gentle and polite. Unlike Anchovy or Pepperoni, who are energetic and loud, she is soft-spoken and very calm. She is good at stopping her teammates when they act wild, often being the one to keep everyone focused. In the manga, she is shown as strict and loyal, more cold and severe than in the anime.

Carpaccio is from Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture. She started tankery as a child. She is childhood friends with Caesar (Kaesaru), who now fights for Oarai Girls’ Academy. They are so close that Caesar calls her “Hina-chan,” and Carpaccio calls Caesar “Taka-chan.”

She has a family with her parents and a younger brother. Her favorite food is lasagna, and her favorite tank is the Semovente. She enjoys free climbing as her daily routine.

Carpaccio is vice-captain of Anzio High’s Sensha-do team. She commands the Semovente unit and also serves as the commander and loader of her tank, the Semovente M41. She stays calm even during battles and helps her team make smart choices.

With Anchovy and Pepperoni

She works alongside Anchovy as vice-captain. Carpaccio is close with Pepperoni too, often serving as the more reasonable and calming presence for both.

With Caesar

Carpaccio and Caesar are childhood friends from the same city. Even though they go to different schools and fight on different teams, their friendship is strong. They call each other by their childhood nicknames and even after their dramatic tank battle, their bond remains strong.

Manga Version: Origin and Role

Carpaccio was first created by Ryuuichi Saitaniya when illustrating the match between Oarai Girls’ Academy and Anzio High in the manga. She was made to balance Anchovy, who in the manga was written as a strict, victory-above-all rival. Carpaccio in the manga acts as Anchovy’s right hand, is a loyal second-in-command, and is more cold than her OVA counterpart.

OVA Appearance: Calm in the Storm

In the "Girls und Panzer: This is the Real Anzio Battle!" OVA, Carpaccio joins the anime as vice-captain, debuting officially at a special event. She is gentle, polite, and the opposite of the wild Pepperoni. She stands out as the one who truly handles most vice-captain duties, showing calm leadership.

The OVA also reveals her close bond with Caesar, showing their childhood friendship and friendly rivalry. In their battle, Carpaccio realizes her opponent is Caesar and challenges her in a fierce one-on-one fight, ending in a draw. Afterward, they talk privately, celebrating their unchanged friendship.

Movie and Teamwork

In "Girls und Panzer der Film," Carpaccio joins the Oarai United Team in the fight against the University Selection Team. She, Anchovy, and Pepperoni are shown zipping around in a CV33 tank, scouting and supporting their allies. Carpaccio often plays the role of the group’s "straight man," reacting to Pepperoni and Anchovy’s silliness and keeping them focused. She cheerfully calls Caesar over the radio, showing how close they still are.

• In fan works, Carpaccio is sometimes shown as a yandere (possessive, intense lover) because her voice actress also played a similar character elsewhere.
• In an official comic, Carpaccio is sometimes sneakily affectionate with Caesar, acting like an overprotective wife.
• She once made only a “Caesar Cake” while Pepperoni was inventing an “Anchovy Cake.”

• Carpaccio looks very similar to a background gunner who appears in another team’s tank in the series. This was probably on purpose by the manga artist.
• Her daily habit is free climbing.

Carpaccio’s popularity comes from her unique mix of calmness, skill, and deep friendships, especially with Caesar. She brings harmony to her energetic team and stands as a memorable and important character in both the manga and anime.
