Anayama is a high-ranking member of the Ten Braves, the elite warriors who serve Ramaga.

He stands out for his unique soul-possession ability and his close emotional ties to his comrades.

He can project his own soul into other living beings, take over their bodies, and completely replace their personality and will.

When he does this, he effectively “becomes” that creature or person, using their body as a vessel for his own actions.

In direct combat, Anayama fights with a large spear that boasts tremendous destructive power.

His style emphasizes brute force and sweeping attacks, making him dangerous both at range and in close quarters.

It is revealed that he had a particularly good relationship with Nezu, another member of the Ten Braves.

This friendship becomes a key motivator for his later actions and his intense rage after Nezu’s death.

The character is voiced by Chiharu Sawashiro in the original version.

Anayama is portrayed as hot-blooded and emotional, especially when it comes to his comrades.

He is quick to anger when those he cares about are harmed, showing a fierce sense of loyalty.

His bond with Nezu is highlighted as especially strong.

Episode 1: Invasion of the Human World

During the invasion of the human world, Anayama deploys alongside Gai and the other Ten Braves.

He participates in a ruthless assault, carrying out widespread slaughter as part of the operation.

Later, when the Ten Braves gather after Gai has been captured by humans, Anayama notices Saizou’s absence.

He asks, “What happened to Saizou? He was with the young master too, wasn’t he?” showing his awareness of his comrades and the situation.

This early appearance establishes him as an active member of the invading force and someone who pays attention to his fellow warriors.

Episode 3: Nezu’s Funeral

In the demon realm, after Nezu is killed by Gai, a funeral is held for Nezu.

Anayama attends with the other Ten Braves to mourn their fallen comrade.

Because he was particularly close to Nezu, Anayama is the most upset among them.

Overwhelmed by grief and anger, he shouts, “I can’t forgive this!” making his thirst for vengeance clear.

This scene reveals how deeply he valued his friendship with Nezu.

It also sets up his later actions, where revenge for Nezu becomes his driving motive.

Episode 7: Revenge and Final Battle

In a calmer moment, the Ten Braves are shown peacefully eating flowing somen noodles.

Anayama, however, does not join them and instead mourns Nezu alone, still unable to move past his death.

Saizou approaches Anayama and deliberately pushes him toward revenge.

Manipulated by Saizou’s words, Anayama decides to go to the human world to avenge Nezu.

He heads to “Forest of Truth,” a children’s care facility where Yamato and Musashi (Houjou) once lived.

There, he murders the facility director, Ujihara, and possesses his body with his soul.

Using Ujihara’s form, he waits for Gai and the others, appearing to them as the trusted director.

When the “Mirror of the Overlord Path” is discovered, Anayama drops the disguise and reveals his true identity.

He engages in a fierce battle, relying on his powerful spear and his determination to avenge Nezu.

However, the Mirror of the Overlord Path releases a beam of light that strikes him directly.

The blast obliterates Anayama’s body, and he is completely destroyed.

Just like Nezu, he turns into a black orb, which is then absorbed by Gai.

Anayama’s story concludes with his death, his essence becoming part of Gai through the black orb.

His arc is defined by loyalty, grief, manipulation, and a tragic end brought on by his desire for vengeance.
