Kuroboshi is a contract black cat belonging to Tamako. He is a massive, elderly male cat with glasses and a distinctive star mark on his forehead—blue in the manga, and yellow in the anime.
After her husband passed away, Tamako returned to the world of the death gods. During her move, Kuroboshi accidentally got mixed in with the luggage and was left behind in a closet. He was forgotten for a very long time.
With his imposing size, old age, and wise demeanor, Kuroboshi stands out from other contract cats. His appearance—especially those iconic glasses and star-shaped marking—make him an unforgettable character.
