One of the SAO players caught in the death game. Her birthday is October 4, 2010, in the story. She is a young beast tamer and dagger user. Because she has a small dragon named Pina as her familiar, she is called "Dragon Tamer Silica."

Thrown into the world of SAO under extremely disadvantageous conditions, being both young and a first-time MMO player, she was almost overwhelmed by anxiety and loneliness but overcame it through her encounter with Pina. Due to her cute appearance and rare beast tamer abilities, she became an idol-like figure in the mid-level areas and eventually joined the ranks of high-level players. However, frequent guild invitations and marriage proposals made her develop a fear of male players. She was saved by Kirito when she was on the brink of death after losing Pina. Initially wary, she succeeded in reviving Pina with Kirito's help and has since admired him like an older brother.

After returning to the real world, she attends a school for "SAO survivors." She gets along well with Leafa, whom she met in ALO, possibly because they both see themselves as younger sisters. She also gets along well with Liz, who shares her feelings for the same person, and they often act together. Recently, she has been concerned about the gap between her growing real body and her avatar, which has changed little since the SAO days. By the time of UR, she has become somewhat able to understand Pina's intentions through its cries.

Her avatar's main costume color changes significantly with each game. In SAO, she wore a red outfit with a black miniskirt, while in ALO, her outfit was primarily navy blue, and her appearance in UR is the same as in ALO.

Pina

A familiar that Silica successfully trained in SAO by a series of coincidences. It is a small, light blue dragon-shaped rare monster, named after a cat she owns in the real world.

Although its combat abilities are not high, it supports Silica with its detection ability to alert her of approaching monsters, various breath attacks, and a healing ability that can recover a small amount of Silica's HP. The healing ability is particularly valuable in Aincrad, where recovery is usually only possible through items.

In SAO, Pina dies protecting Silica during a battle, an action that goes beyond its algorithm, but is revived by a resurrection item Silica obtained with Kirito's help. When transitioning to ALO, Pina's character data from SAO was carried over, allowing it to continue supporting Silica as her familiar. It displays various abilities, such as a dazzling magic that disrupts monster attacks and boosting Silica's gliding distance. Unlike normal familiars, which do not always execute commands perfectly, Pina has never disobeyed Silica and often shows behavior outside its original algorithm, such as sleeping on Kirito's stomach when he is asleep.
