Saika Gasai

Yuno Gasai's adoptive mother. She came from a family of elite bankers who ran the Gasai Bank, but was unable to have children. Together with her husband, she adopted Yuno from the Misaka Orphanage. She monitored Yuno's every action, recording everything, and if Yuno broke any rules, she would lock her in a cage, deprive her of food, and not allow her to use the bathroom, subjecting her to extreme elite education (confinement and abuse). When Yuno was in her first year of middle school, unable to endure this life any longer, she retaliated by locking her adoptive mother in the cage. However, the mother showed no remorse and called Yuno a "demon child" before eventually dying of starvation.
