Tanjirou's senior disciple. A young boy with chestnut-colored hair, wearing a fox mask marked with a large scar on his right cheek. His actual face has a scar in the same place as the mask. He is strict but has a strong sense of justice and a kind personality. He appeared before Tanjirou, who was struggling with the task of slicing a large rock, and trained him in swordsmanship for six months. Tanjirou highly praises him for his elegant and excellent swordsmanship.

He is now deceased. He once encountered a Hand Demon during the final selection but failed to cut through its tough neck, breaking his sword, and was killed by having his head crushed. Thus, the one who trained Tanjirou is a ghost.

The strongest of the 13 disciples of the Sakonji Urokodaki style. He joined Urokodaki as an orphan. He was the same age and close friends with Giyuu Tomioka. He sternly scolded Giyuu, who lamented surviving due to his sister's protection, advising him to continue the life his sister had sacrificed herself to save. At the age of 13, he took the final selection with Giyuu, and as mentioned earlier, died in combat with the Hand Demon, but because he had almost single-handedly defeated the demons of Fujikasane Mountain, he was the only casualty that year. This past deeply shadowed Giyuu's heart.
