Sometimes his memories of the past get mixed with the present.
He tells Asseylum, "Be a good princess, and lead people to happiness."
Right after this meeting, his aide turns off his life support, and Rayregalia passes away.
In the second part of the story, Rayregalia is always in bed because of his sickness and old age.
The voice actor who played him, Shinji Ogawa, passed away before the final episodes aired, so another actor finished the role.
