Shiori Manaka

This character appears from Chapter 2 of Volume 1 in the original work and is introduced from Episode 1 in the anime adaptation. She is Ao Manaka’s mother, a calm woman who wears glasses. In the anime version, she is depicted as working as a science illustrator.

Ao Manaka’s mother did not know in detail what kind of club activities Ao was involved in until she visited Hoshizaki High School during the school festival. Due to her husband’s job transfer, she initially planned to take Ao with her, but ultimately agreed to let Ao board at the Konohata household. As a result, from the second year in the story, she lives separately from Ao.
