He is the grandfather of Hiyori Minagi and the father of Hinata Minagi. He often enjoyed mountain stream fishing together with Shinya Yamakawa, but his personal hobby is mountain climbing. Currently, due to his poor back condition, he spends most of his time at home. He does not talk much, making it difficult for others to read his thoughts, but in reality, he looks forward to visits from his grandchildren, Hiyori Minagi and Koharu Minagi.
