Nao-chan is Mitsumi Iwakura’s paternal aunt. She is a transgender woman who works as a stylist. When Mitsumi moved to Tokyo to attend high school, Nao-chan became her guardian in the city. She highly values her own sense of style and is easygoing, not sweating the small stuff. She enjoys her single lifestyle in central Tokyo.
Since Mitsumi started frequently talking about Sōsuke Shima, Nao-chan began referring to him as "Shimasuke" in her mind and started paying close attention to the relationship between Mitsumi and Sōsuke.
