Sagiri Ameno is Kogarashi Fuyuzora’s classmate and neighbor at Yuragi Inn.

She has lived there since age fourteen while also carrying out a mission to monitor Nonko Arahabaki.

She is one of the central heroines of Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs.

Among the Exorcist Ninja Army, she is treated as an ace-class fighter with exceptional spiritual and combat ability.

She is also a cousin of Hibari Ameno.

Her name is likely inspired by a deity from Japanese mythology associated with mist.

Sagiri begins the story deeply annoyed by Kogarashi.

His constant involvement in accidental indecent situations makes him seem like the exact kind of man she cannot stand.

Yet he repeatedly protects her and others in life-threatening situations.

That slowly breaks through her defenses and plants feelings she is too embarrassed to admit.

Her emotional turning point comes when a political marriage proposal effectively turns her into a hostage.

Meanwhile, allies have also gathered methods of restoring spiritual energy from all over Japan.

With his overwhelming power replenished, Kogarashi ends the crisis with a decisive blow.

Later, as the village recovers, Sagiri tells her grandmother the truth.

She admits that she is genuinely in love with Kogarashi and intends to continue pursuing him as the family’s future husband.

Unfortunately for her composure, Kogarashi overhears this.

As usual she panics, grabs him, turns bright red, and nearly reverts to threatening him with a kunai.

Still, this time she manages to be a little more honest.

She directly tells him that she loves him, that she has fallen for him as both an exorcist ninja and as a woman, and that she will never yield him to Yuuna, Hibari, or anyone else.

One of Sagiri’s defining lines is her declaration that she has chosen to be an exorcist ninja before being a woman.

This captures both her rigid sense of duty and the emotional conflict that later defines her character arc.
