Chisaki Miyazaki is one of the heroines of Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs.
She first appears from Episode 4, when the story begins focusing on locations outside Yuragi Inn.
Unlike most major characters in the series, Chisaki does not live at Yuragi Inn and has no supernatural powers of her own.
Because of that, she appears especially often in school-centered episodes.
She is the only non-Yuragi Inn character listed as a main character on the official websites for the manga, anime, and game versions.
In the first character popularity poll, she ranked 2nd with 1,859 votes, and in the second poll, she again ranked 2nd with 2,092 votes.
Chisaki has medium-length cardinal red hair decorated with a hairpin and blue-green eyes.
She is widely described as exceptionally beautiful, to the point that she has even been scouted as a model.
Her figure is especially striking, and she is portrayed as having a glamorous body comparable to Yuuna Yunohana.
It is suggested that this physique comes from her mother, Hiyori Miyazaki.
Although she may not fully realize it herself, she has slightly sharp, upturned eyes that give her gaze an unexpectedly keen look.
Her beauty and fashion sense make her stand out strongly both at school and in public.
Chisaki is a classic beauty with talent to match.
She is kind-hearted, good at cooking, and admired for both her looks and her gentle personality.
Male students at school treat her almost like an idol, and she receives frequent attention and confessions.
However, this popularity has also made her painfully aware of how much rejecting someone can hurt them.
Her mother taught her that "all boys are wolves," which made Chisaki cautious and shy about romance.
As a result, she is inexperienced in love and tends to be guarded around boys.
She is also uncomfortable with being looked at by men.
Because of her mature figure and eye-catching appearance, unwanted attention from men at school and on the street has often felt distressing to her.
At one point, she tried to avoid notice by pressing down her chest and dressing as plainly as possible.
Even then, the stares never stopped, and some girls even mocked her as being overly self-conscious.
Chisaki's first impression of Kogarashi Fuyuzora was terrible.
This happened because Yuuna Yunohana accidentally flipped up Chisaki's skirt, and Kogarashi happened to be standing nearby.
Even so, she became curious when Kogarashi introduced himself as a psychic.
She later asked him to investigate a series of strange supernatural incidents happening at her home.
The cause turned out to be Koyuzu Shigaraki, a young girl from the bake-danuki clan.
Through this incident, Chisaki became connected not only to Kogarashi but also to Koyuzu and, more precisely, to her own mother Hiyori Miyazaki.
Chisaki does not show prejudice toward ghosts or yokai.
Because of this open-mindedness, she gradually forms good relationships with the residents of Yuragi Inn.
At first, Chisaki could not see or hear Yuuna directly.
However, because Yuuna could touch physical objects, the two communicated by writing messages.
Later, during the attack by Oga Makyouin, Koyuzu possessed Chisaki, raising her spiritual power.
This allowed her to see Yuuna's form and speak with her normally without relying on written notes.
Because of the lingering effects of that possession, Chisaki eventually becomes able to see ghosts even when Koyuzu is no longer possessing her.
Her maximum spiritual power value while under tanuki possession is stated to be 500.
Chisaki initially kept her guard up around Kogarashi.
Over time, however, she came to trust him and gradually developed romantic feelings for him.
By Chapter 46, after seeing a temporarily materialized Yuuna created through Koyuzu's technique, Chisaki realizes that Yuuna is in love with Kogarashi.
At the same time, she becomes aware that she herself has also started seeing Kogarashi as a boy rather than just a classmate.
She later confesses her feelings to Yuuna and Harumu Yumesaki.
Seri Yanagisawa and Shion also support her efforts to pursue her love for Kogarashi.
During the second day of the school trip, Chisaki experiences a prophetic dream caused by the powers of Ryuzan and Harumu Yumesaki.
She informs Yuuna that Yakuto is trying to seal Kogarashi's spiritual powers with a crystal orb.
Thanks to this warning, the group avoids a tragic future in which Kogarashi loses his powers and Yuuna passes on.
The other five girls in love with Kogarashi are grateful to Chisaki for helping prevent that outcome.
On the final day of the school trip, Kogarashi takes Chisaki alone on a Ferris wheel.
He begins calling her by her given name, and she starts affectionately calling him "Ko-kun" instead of using his family name.
In Chapter 47, heavy snow prevents Kogarashi from returning to Yuragi Inn, and he ends up staying overnight at Chisaki's home.
This episode further reveals how sensitive she is to the gaze of the opposite sex.
Her interactions with Kogarashi often mix sweetness, embarrassment, and emotional sincerity.
This makes her one of the more grounded and relatable romantic heroines in the series.
Chisaki is one of the most popular characters in the series.
Her mix of beauty, warmth, insecurity, and normal-girl charm helps her stand out among a cast full of supernatural personalities.
Even without special powers or residence at Yuragi Inn, she maintains a major presence in the story.
Her role as an ordinary high school girl drawn into the supernatural world gives her a unique appeal.
